Bought the same as Rockape about a year ago. We hook ours up to the laptop with a HDMI cable and watch all our favorite TV shows and movies using Windows Media Player. Runs on its own 12v cable or 240v. Sound is OK, but we have some USB speakers we can use if extra oomph is required.
