A clothing rep was he?
You've certainly got the moving on bit right!
Out of curiosity, and because I'm too lazy to sift through your numerous magnificent posts, how long have you been away now?
and....how long do you anticipate you'll be away? or is that to be ignored in case you suffer a decline....if so I can well understand
and... any major observations on the nomadic long term lifestyle?
(Details I can do without for obvious reasons)
Hey
@Dobbie, we've on the move for just on a year and unfortunately we are due home in 6 weeks.
I am compiling a list of Crustys Mind Blowing Revelations. The most striking thing would be the number of younger 30s and 40s working age family people on long term travels.
All of them are very happy, and none of them regret making that decision to do it. That might seem a Capt Obvious thing to say, but its significant considering how many people "want to" do it, but will never do it and often reel off the "I wish" or " ... one day"
All of the long term travellers we've met are just very average Joe's, with normal jobs, average incomes, averages debts, and previously predictable lives ... and im in that group.
My point is i suppose, the biggest relevation is how much stuff doesnt really matter, what stuff is actually important, now is always way better than later and in hindsight how "easy" it would be for a lot of people to do this, and how "easy" it is sometimes to find reasons not to.
It completely re-set my view of the world ... well, maybe not
the world; certainly my world
(I want to keep going, and go back around the other way ... The Princess has called time, just because our 10yo
apparently needs physical school, his mates and socialisation. Damn it)
Now for the cheezy stuff. Turn away if you have a weak stomach. We are a closer family now than we were (in fact i was a bit
so so about these people before) and we have thrived just 'us against the man'.
