I have been thinking again........is it a good idea to get gas bayonet at the back as well as the front ?.Have ordered the front already

@SMJ *Try posting a bit more so your post isn't boring* Our van came with the original bayonet fitted at the back of the van and made it awkward to use the weber when the full annexe walls were fitted (Not really awkward but bl00dy smokie lol). We use the rear one when just the awning is rolled out and the front one with the weber outside when the annexe is setup

I will have to investigate where it would go now I think about it.We will have the rear door on the Journey and don't want it smoky inside

I think it really depends on where you want to be (while cooking & setting up) in relation to the side of the Van........

my father used to have an electric frying pan he would always use - the power point was near the rear door on his Van, so he used to have an extension cord and do his cooking up the front near the draw bar...........
same as I do with the Weber now

but the thought is there about having one at the back, as when we are camping in a group, we tend to socialise at the rear..........
between the parked Vans..........

O'Donohues (Jurgens Dealer) had our bayonet fitted directly behind the awning bottom bracket under the van. With our 1.5m hose it can be used under the awning or out in the open then. We don't have an annex.

We've noted that as Webber gets older the on/off dial is getting looser and can be accidentally turned on. Rather than muck about with replacing the Webber part we've added a stop cock inline on the gas connection at the bbq. No more questions about whats that gas smell.

havent worked my Weber that hard yet @peterg
but, once I have finished cooking on it, I always turn the gas tap off....... then the one on the Weber...........

force of habit........

I've got the neccessary stop cock before the bayonet... Always turn that one off when not in use
