I had BFG AT's on the Navara and they where a great tyre

Had BFG's on a previous 90 series Prado and was more than happy with them apart from some dumbar$e forgetting to take it back for a wheel alignment :o

MT ATZ's on the 100 series after that and no issues at all and a great allround tyre (Over 100K's and still had 5mm tread left)..... Only issue with them is convincing Mrs Dagree of the extra $'s!!!

Ok I am putting my 2 cents in, Coopers are also good ;), I do like the BFG's though and great value for money, if you can @dagree get the slightly bigger size 265/70/R17 instead of the standard 265/65/R17, will give you a bit more height for the diffs, I assume the sizes are the same for the 120 and 150.......

Hey @dagree get the Prado sorted yet, or at least a cost for fixing it?

All sorted @burnsie ... Called in to the local mechanic and we checked if he could do the work under the extended warranty. Answer was "Yes" so called RAC and had it to him by 10:00am. Starter motor replaced, Prado picked up at 4:30pm and total cost to me........ $0.00 :cheerful:

I forgot that I negotiated "No Excess" when signing up for the extended warranty!!!!

Nice @dagree ,you worked that warranty in your favour when you got it.

We did a similar thing and extended ours, but we didn't should out the zero excess.... :)

Hopefully we won't have to use it for a. Long time....

I know a lot of people have had their car fully inspected just before the warranty runs out then get everything fixed....

It's like PPE at work and 4WD recovery gear....... Stuff you have but hope not to use!

Might do that next year..... Or see if I can extend it for a couple of years?

Mods on the expanda have been quiet lately..... Dragged it out this afternoon to wipe off the dust and spider webs to get it ready for next weeks trip. New Anderson plug fitted for fridge, ESC and battery as the original one got ripped out and broken during a tight turn recently (Original wiring slightly too short!!!!)

Have been contemplating fitting a stereo for a while but had an issue determining where to fit it (Save cupboard space, speaker locations, wiring route etc)!
Called into the local Alberts Hifi this afternoon to pick up some speakers for the daughter and had a look around while there... Ended up walking out with a Fusion stereo, speakers and this under shelf mount :)

Mounted the radio late this afternoon.... Making up wiring harness tonight and fitting harness and speakers tomorrow..... Then might get around to getting the rest of the van ready for the trip ;)
