Who did you draw in the Melbourne cup sweep?

I just found out I have drawn the favourite for the cup in Fiorente but in saying that I have never and I mean never had a collect in the cup. I am not a horse person so I`m not sure how good this nag is but fingers crossed this is my year. I normally have the horse that gets run over by the ambulance!!!

Didn't do a sweep but had a few bucks on Fawkner after successfully backing it in the Caulfield Cup!

Maybe I should have quit while I was ahead!

they was saying on the radio today that Tom Waterhouse wanted to put a million dollar bet on Mummys Fiorente, but none of the other bookie would take it. The most he was allowed was a measly $100000 on it.

Mrs XF backed first and third ($5 each way annual plunge). I put the bet on for her, but now I got to take her to the TAB so she can collect HER winnings. I failed miserably this year.

Update on " Collecting my winnings"
Last Footy season I installed the TAB app on my iPhone so I could easily access all the betting odds on the AFL Footy a great way to assist my tipping i thought, so come Melbourne cup I thinks to myself what a great way to have a little flutter on the GG's , saves me having to make the journey to the pub TAB (our only option here in down town sunny Northam) anyhoo, added $100 to my account with the credit card spent $15 on bets (big spender i know) then after some reading of the fine print discovers I can't withdraw from my account until I have "turned over my original deposit" so being the hard core gambler that I am it'll be 7 years before I can get my winnings!!! Might have to put a few $$ on Greater Western Sydney to win the AFL Grand final next year

Mate, I've lived here a lot longer than that and all I know about horses is you stuff hay in one end, you get fertilizer out of the other. As for watching them run round in a circle to get back where they start, :noidea:

Yep I must of cursed it @Burnsy. After a win last year I`m back to normal with my sweep results. No money back for last either.
