I stuffed the gap between the fridge and bench top with roof insulation then cut some ply so that it would fit from the fridge top (just behind the elements) and the outside wall forming an angled panel that directed the rising air across to the vent, this was painted silver and sikaflexed in place.....the good book says there should be no more than 25mm gap between the elements and the wall mainly so the most air flows over them and gets outside quick smart.................also always check that when on gas the small vent is hot, if not then the flue may have fell off and you will be venting flamin hot air into the rear area and making things work harder, the flue is not screwed in place just slotted in.
Here's a good user guide for installation https://www.caravansplus.com.au/pdf/Optimal installation V 5.pdf
