Ok....great topic!

For me it is all about variety. Although I have a rather eclectic taste. I am happy listening to artists from Elton John to Slipknot. :drum::rockon:I love Metallica, Guns n Roses, Offpring and Bon Jovi, but also love Phantom of the Opera and Lee Kernigan. I also love Japanese rock (x Japan!!).

More recently I have been playing Giggle and Hoot or Jay Lagaia from play school. Keeps the little one happy.

So I guess it doesnt matter too much to me...although the missus does like modern Pop music and I just can't listen to a lot of content that doesn't have a lot of meaning or substance to it.

Depends on who's in the car.
Usually when travelling with the family all 3 kids have their headphones on, Mrs. Matty4 usually has her head in a book or magazine so I'll just play some classic 80's rock that she won't get annoyed with, but I still love too(we have severe musical taste differences.......lol)

A couple of weeks ago I took my van away on a boys weekend with my brother, my boys and his boy.
Got to play some classic Iron Maiden rather loudly, it was great.
Metallica, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, AC/DC get a pretty good run when I'm alone. I'll sometimes put on a local Melbourne band, Bugdust, heavy metal too.
I know the lead singer and guitarist.

I like this thread!
This week Foo fighters are getting an absolute flogging as we're going to see them next week, yeah!! Seen Metallica, Linkin Park et al last yr at soundwave - it was awesome.
My 8yr old daughter loves Linkin Park - just gotta remember to play the radio edit versions of songs. She also likes Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, One Direction...I think you see where I'm going with that and it doesn't end well.
Thanks to @Soaring for the parody version, but I still say.......

So what do you listen to ? :)
HAHA I was waiting for someone to notice.

I can actually see a similar theme running through the posts in this thread and mine is much the same. 90's bands Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Off Spring, then its onto the current music that also gets a run.

There is also Australian Country music, Troy Caser-Daley, Lee Kernagan, Kasey Chambers, Adam Brand, Etc. We use to do a lot of travelling just to see these bands and singers live....it made for great trips.

Lochie Cosser is good to we got his CD yes CD when we were at Longreach CP 18 months ago after he finished doing a free show in the park. (Country Singer)

At the moment a Blue Grass/Blues singer called Seasick Steve is getting a lot of air play in the BT. A very raw type performer.

I actually want to get hold of Run Dmc and Public Enemy again as my old CD's went missing years ago. :music:

I like pretty much all rock like ACDC , Chisel , Fooeys, Bon Jovi , Matchbox Twenty, U2 , The Boss and also a bit of country with Keith urban and the like. Whilst travelling normally listen to Fm stations with rock/pop. Like @mfexpanda I like TripleM and not the stations that play songs like that stupid Albatrouse song, what is the go with that crap???

The kids bought the wife and I a Samsung tablet for Christmas. Great pressie!

Anyway, I spent a week digitising all of our music off CD's and then uploading it all to Google Play. We then bought some additional music off the Google Play Store. I then bought a 30Gb SD card for the tablet and a Bluetooth speaker and downloaded all of the music off Google Play back onto the tablet loaded on the 30GB SD card.

So now whenever we travel, and stay anywhere, we have all of our music loaded on the tablet, with a nice interface using Google Play to then play music. The sound from the Bluetooth speaker is awesome, and quite compact, no wires. Via Bluetooth the tablet can be up to 10metres away from the speaker and the sound can still be transmitted. Just brilliant. If your staying at caravan park where there is free WIFI, then you can use the tablet for emails and internet access as well as carrying all of your music. Fantastic!

The List would be too long ! I will listen to anything except Opera can stand all that screeching :lalala: and must add I'm not overly keen on any of that Death Metal crap where they scream the Words trying to sound like they are possessed or something .
Big fan of Blues and 70's Rock Led Zep, Bad Company, Free, Grand Funk Railroad, Credence etc etc but just as happy listening to Hill Top Hoods or The Cat Empire
Yep... I'm drivin with you lot :thumb:

As a bit of a cardigan and "music with a message" type, perversely played at eardrum popping decibel levels, i get to listen to whatever the wife doesn't whinge all the way through....easier to play what she wants and keep my music for whenever she isn't in the car.
