Ive got a USB with everything from classical to doof doof.

I have discovered that the so called "random" button on the stereo is not random at all ..... it repeatedly plays the tracks in a set pattern .... it seems random at first, but after 5 weeks i knew which random song was coming on next ...

I also listen to audio books when the tribe sleeps (which is most of the time)

We usually just listen to the local FM Stations but when out of reception do the same as @Crusty181 and have a USB with different styles of music ranging from country to modern pop etc.... No preference as I prefer to listen to different song styles/singers.

When the kids take off the movie earphones, it turns to bloody 1 Directiom, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift:frusty:

When the missus is in the car, talk back radio, she's ten years younger and does not like the music I grew up with. When it's just me, anything , classic, rock, the best of cheesy Tuesday and Rockabilly and some rap music.

Wife Nova or something where they play one good song some hip hop crap and then crap on for ages. :behindsofa:
Last trip we listened to Fireman Sam, Octonauts and Madagascar movie all day from kids iPad. Older kids we had Wiggles while travelling.

The kids don't call the new wheels The Rock Truck for nothing...

I'm probably with @Soaring here, very similar tastes but a stint in the UK opened my mind and ears to other genre's also. Really, I'll listen to anything that doesn't sound like it was made by a computer. And even then, some of that is catchy...

Like @Crusty181 we have the iPod running on shuffled working its way through a very diverse mix of 1700+ songs.

The iPod also seems to repeat in a set order that you get to hear a few times over a long trip :)

Particular tracks that have to get played within the first 10mins are:
Hopeless Wanderer - Mumford and Sons

Wherever I may roam - Metallica (S&M version)

Hey Brother - Avicii.

It's usually a compromise in our car as I am a (for Sydney folk) a MMM and WSFM type person and the wife is a 2DAY and NOVA type creature, I mean person. So my Ipod is loaded with '70s, '80s, '90s classics and the wifes Ipod is loaded with crap.

The List would be too long ! I will listen to anything except Opera can stand all that screeching :lalala: and must add I'm not overly keen on any of that Death Metal crap where they scream the Words trying to sound like they are possessed or something .
Big fan of Blues and 70's Rock Led Zep, Bad Company, Free, Grand Funk Railroad, Credence etc etc but just as happy listening to Hill Top Hoods or The Cat Empire

I had a recording studio for over 20 years so recorded a lot of Metal :) Was only when they recorded they actually would hear what the singer was singing.. Hence they was always a chuckle or a what the.....Rehearsals all had amps on 11..
We could spend a day on a small lead break although if the singer wanted to do a second take. They always be your wasting our $ no one listens to the words :)
You also get the singers who only sing with the lights out with candles I think facing north east or something. No one could be there listening and judging them..
Ahh I miss the funny bands I used to record..
Cut and paste made the whole process a lot worse..
Lets take "TO" from take 20 "MORR" from 55 and "ROW from 100.......

What music do you listen to while traveling? :music:

My Wife being a great reader borrowed a talking book from the Library all 6 cds, a Jeffery Archer novel, started at Ceduna still going at Esperance,
last year we borrowed the sequel , strange as it may seem I actually enjoyed them , after two trips across to W.A
we are heading to visit our Son in Queensland be interesting to see what she borrows this year ,
P.S we renew them while we are away , so we dont get a fine.afterall its our Council rates that pays for them.
regards Shiraz
