How's the weather in Vic? I heard you guys are getting smashed, hope it's not too bad and you all come out unscathed, were supposed to get it late today/ tonight

The weather is really bad. Heaps of people with no power overnight. My hubby is stuck on a gas platform in Bass Straight. About 100 blokes are stuck out there as the choppers would not fly yesterday. He is still not sure if he will get off today. He said that he could feel it moving, it takes a hell of a lot of wind to make one of those platforms give.

Started about 1/2 an hour ago, only light to medium rain and a bit of wind at present but they reckon it will get heavy...fridge full of beer, fire on and wood stacked bring it on....lol

I work in Roma during the week and it feels colder than it is...although we were below zero a few weeks back and the forecast minimum is close to that....to dry to snow

You're timing it nicely-just another 15 sleeps, Burnsy, if you can sleep! Melbourne is normal for this time of year. Beautiful yesterday, now wind feels like its coming straight off snow. Grand kids in Qld would start whining at your 23degrees - they don't know what a bracing morning is.

Mornings on the Gold Coast have been down around 7degrees so that would produce some whining. :whistle: We are hanging out for some rain, none at all in August.

Yes, very dry in Sydney too. All my plants are dying! I guess we can't have it both ways.

We have stayed at Sheepyard on the same weekend for around 4-5 years and have been very lucky with the weather usually around mid to low 20's. In saying that one weekend we had 140mm in a weekend one year eep: That weekend was inbetween having the Hawk and waiting for the Expanda and we were in a rooftop tent which made for an interesting weekend. :rolleyes:
