Own a Jeep, well now instead of using the Yank site to check any recalls on your vehicle, Jeep Australia after many decades has actually a Recall Check site up and running, tap in your ViN and see whats, what ............................. For all the Jeep knockers check your facts first............

I’d still have another Jeep in a heartbeat if they made one suitable, I must say the trim level in the new Jeep is something else

phew just searched the site, there are 13,490 VIN numbers listed but mine is NOT one of them thank goodness we're heading for Karumba in a few weeks and that would have put a rather large spanner in the works!!!
My Ranger is listed, getting it serviced on 20 May, then going to Nagambie for five days. Delivered mid July last year after ordering it in January. Done 14k Km.
Great car the tech has saved me scratching it a couple of times!!

Well not wasting any time then, thats good going by what Ive seen shouldn't be difficult for them to fix so long as they set everything right..... pic show the offending part, certainly cause some dramas if pelting down the road and it goes....

At least it has to be a replacement of the component, Jeep did a software fix for a possible timing problem if the tone wheel fell apart .... otherwise they would have to remove gearbox and everything to replace a $30 part on the flywheel....

I believe it requires a replacement of the cam sprocket wheel. My thoughts were if it was to fail then all the valves would be locked in place, then the right bank would continue to fire for some revolutions, causing monumental damage requiring an engine rebuild!! Time was of the essence to get it done.
I have not received a recall letter as yet, I guess Ford will get around to it. As soon as I learned of the recall I went to a local dealer, had him check the VIN and sure enough my truck was included so I booked the service on the spot.
We have recently moved to a retirement village, so am getting the service done at the local Ford dealer instead of where I purchased the vehicle. It is a very large dealership on the old Melbourne airport in Essendon and they seem very helpful. So hoping for the best!

Be a massive shut down and clunk I imagine, same as if the timing belt snaps, if fact probably the similar to the Jeeps Reluctor ring crapping out ............ Surprised they went a belt drive not chain on these things thats something I would have changed before the recommended time just to be safe ....

Totally agree, I was also surprised that they did not use a chain.

Well it was designed over 20 years ago with a couple of mods along the way, bet cost was part of the equation and by the time the belt needs redoing it will be beyond warranty sort of outlook ............
