Thats just the standard chinese copy of the Treg coupling for the tow bar, the pivot point is still away from where a ball pivot point would be. The WDH would foul on the hitch when turning as the bars would be pivoting at the ball position. The Trigg coupling is similar but is made of cast.

That link was an example only............of a tregg as mentioned.

I have a trigg coupling already and know where its pivot point is. I have seen and know of people with the tregg coupling and using a wdh. I wanted to see a pic of one set up

The following video was sent to me by Mchitch ,I know we are taking about the Trigg being used with the WDH but the principle is the same here as you talk about the pivot point being different, this shows it can/does work, note the rollers where the chain attaches to the bar.
The issues with this arrangement was due to the "pivot point' being pushed back the chain hang brackets have to move forward to allow the chains to hang vertical, with some a-frame arrangements it's not always possible due to the location of components
I looked into these as a way to solve the rear door problem with the Pajero (which it does) but for now I've done a mod to the standard hitch handle.

How would you go when the van is at the dealers getting survived with a different hitch ? How do they move it around ? They wouldn't have all the different hitches . Maybe just they'd use the chains
