take two, fixed a couple of things in the sheet and added a column for the unladen / base vehicle to van ratio.

Hi @Drover, @Clewsy,
you encouraged me to go out and weigh all the things in our front boot. My slack and lazy approach was to guess it was 40kg.
Chairs, tables, stools, buckets, outside cooking gear, hammer, tomahawk, wood blocks, privacy screen for the off-side.

I wasn't far out: 41.2kg. Then I remembered I also never accounted for the solar panel, controller and cables that go in the external hatch: 4.5kg.

So, out of a 300kg allowance, I have max 85kg water, 9kg gas = 94kg, so only 206kg left, then take off the above front boot and solar,
I have only 160kg left for everything inside the Penguin. Almost 50% gone before I put anything inside.

Fortunately, I am reasonably sure we currently have no more than 60kg inside. Most unlikely to ever have more than 50kg of food. But even so, allowing for all that, I actually have only 50kg of float. About 45kg more if I travel with only half a tank of water.

cheers
Mike

Nicely done @Clewsy but like all these things requires me to somehow weigh all the stuff, wish the fairy godsheila could wave her wand for me......when I get home might see about it all, probably find with a steel tray and alloy canopy I cant put anything in it.
