80kmph? Where? Even if it is. No way am I driving at that speed. I'm here for a good time not a slow time. -) kidding.

I just checked my owners manual and it states - the prescribed speed road limit for towing conditions up to 2300kg.

Welcome @TerriD, we tow with AWD diesel, and love it, had no trouble going to Tassie in Jan, plenty of hills and it didn't miss a beat.

Sure. Well I firstly run 98 Octane. I do use 6th gear as opposed to locking it out. Most of the time short shifting the gears myself working on the sound of the engine revs. I never let it labor, always kick it in the arse! Even turn on cruise on safe straights where I'm attentive to the condition. Regular Oil changes, use synthetic not sludge. 100,ooo on the clock now and still humming.

Wondering if your 2010 Terri has the same transmission as my 2013, Pretty impressive economy from your petrol model, must admit I am a little bit disappointed with the overall fuel economy of the diesel, I drive with fuel economy in mind, whilst it delivers reasonable economy there is no way it will deliver the figures Ford reckon it will do (unless there is something wrong with mine) dealer assures me the car is tip top condition. When talking to other diesel owners whilst like myself not complaining about economy most admit the same disappointment regarding stated figures.

morning @TerriD, im disappointed with the fuel economy of the diesel AWD, but what it seems the awd is more thirsty than rwd.
I tow a 20 expanda and averaging around high 11s to low 12 s and it is a awd I am looking at chiping car not for power but does help with fuel they say and I have fitted a few to customers cars and they saying do help

Hi Bonners, your rig looks great, sorry I didn't go the AWD for the extra towing capacity, but overall happy with RWD. Would be interesting to know how they did the fuel test where its alleged 1000 km to a tank of fuel, have not had the chance to do a 600,800 km trip with out van to see what best economy would be.
