Here ya go guys a bit of info on Stainless Steel, The austenitic Group of S/S, 200 and 300 series are non magnetic 316 or Marine grade has a higher amount of Chromium and Nickel in it to with stand the corrosive properties of Salt water. The Martensitic or Ferritic 400 series S/S which is generally used in knives is magnetic and can get some surface rust on it as it has a higher amount of Carbon in it to "hold a better edge".
