G'day bigman,

I use to have an earlier Triton MK 2000mdl that had the factory towbar and the receiver was 40mm approx which was a factory bar so it may be worth checking, but it was an older mdl so you may be fine. The towball weight of that towbar was also only 100kg not 150kg (I think it was 4 years ago:rolleyes:) if it had a hayman reece bar.

I could be totally wrong though as yours is a late model one :D

Yeah.. Mine is a later model and its not a factory bar.. I know that it fits a factory nissan bar. Actually found the details.

I have an original Nissan towbar fitted to my 2006 Navara and the Hayman Reese fitted straight in although I was told that I may have to round the corners a bit. I did not have to do so.

Thats good news from Chartrock

If I wanted to tow my new at the time Outback Hawk with the Triton I would've had to replace the towbar to a HR to make it legal. I actually ended up selling it before taking delivery and bought the Cruiser.
