Hi Pandas, when watching the video of 'Crossing the Pentacost' we were having breakfast in Woomera.
Distraction, aargh, burnt toast but no smoke alarm???
Checked the battery and it was flat.
Realized one thing I need to add to my Checklist when storing the Sea Dragon is to remove the battery from the smoke alarm and always carry a spare. I do this with all the other battery devices in the panda eg, led fridge light, fridge temp sensor etc but forgot about this one.
Have others forgotten to check their smoke alarms?
Other must do's when storing?

I bought a 3 pack of batteries for our 2 smoke alarms in the house to change at day light savings change over but did them about 2 months later.. I used the third in the van. I am trying to get in the habit of the slogan used by the fire authorities to change batteries in smoke detectors at day light savings time by including the van.

You sinners!

Check the gas bottles before you leave...and the hoses and fittings
Check the torque on wheel nuts and the tyre pressures
Check there's water in the tanks if you'll need it
Check the loo, put Vaseline on seals and make sure you have the napisan
Check the state of the battery
Check that the fridge is actually cold, even though you've turned it on

And the wine, beer, scotch supply.

We once did all those things but forgot the tea, coffee and kettle.

Oh yeah, make sure the brake safe lead is not going to get caught and pull out, amazing how quick the revs drop off.

Most important to ensure TV aerial is would down, they bend very easy.

Take a walk around the whole rig pulling and pushing at things just to make sure...................
