Hey @Brougham ...stop digging in the specials bin.

Leave some for the rest of us.

You didn't happen to see some 12v fans did you?

Not my day today. Got finished up rear bar ready to check before sending off to get painted.

Someone (....!) stuffed up the measurements and thus is now 2-300mm too short. I measured from edge of chassis rail and forgot to allow for the actual part that goes in and bolts. Poor mistake for a draftsman to make!

So I either modify it somehow (extend legs with a stiffener) or maybe see if anyone in WA wants a bar like this? Will suit a spare wheel or bike carrier for sure. I wanted it out more to hold a low profile toolbox for my annexe and other bits and bobs.

OOPS...... Measure twice cut once remember!!
I did. I just measured wrong twice.

just thinking, you would need a piece slightly small to go inside as a sleeve, then fully welded around the outside
grind flush
and it should be ok
Yeah exactly my thoughts. Plus maybe a bolt through it at the other end to help it not move.

Very interesting thing I noticed but didn't comment to Terry about - we have the gas fridge bent on this side, and everyone has been posting saying with the recent gas law changes that we'd need a large vent in the skirt.

Nope. Didn't ask about it as I like the skirt the way it is.
