17' Series Tasmania Itininary's Please

Ok, now thinking of escaping to Tasmania via Spirit of Tas for 4 weeks in December 15 to January 16 in jeep GC & 17.56.1 panda. Xmas in Tas, will be busy & need to look at pre booking sites now. If anyone has taken vans across I need itininary's. Wife wants to stop for week at a time N, S, E & W somewhere as base for day trips. Email ideas to me at izzys@iprimus.com.au. Thnx in advance. We looked at a trip to Tassie next year, but we the cost to get the car and the van on the boat was just too much. I'd be interested to hear how the trip goes as we'd really love to make the trip one day.

Thnx all. Smergen, $1700 return for Jeep, 17.56 & 5 passengers on Spirit of Tas. Will let you know how we end up.

Yep, they were the prices we were getting as well. I reckon we'd need a long stay down there to offset those costs.

Either way mate, it's a beautiful part of the world and I'm sure you'll love it.
