I'd go down to your local auto wrecker mate. Take your spare tyre down and get 4 rims with the same stud pattern. Just run it on the rims, and if you're worried about damaging your driveway, use some vinyl floor strips from your local flooring shop.

As I said before - find some second hand rims (no tyres) and even if you remove all 4 tyres and only put the back two rims on, it should be able to be pushed straight in! Maybe get some rubber belting if you are worried about scratching your concrete with the rims.

My brother made me a dolly to lower the van onto as I needed the break drums about 30mm off the ground to get the van under the lentil of my garage. The dolly is on castors so i can push the van sideways up against the wall once it in the garage. It takes about one hour to get the wheels off get the van onto the dolly and into the garage.
Oops, technical glitch :ranger:. Would be very interested to see, is it possible for you to post some pics. Thanks.

Here are some photos of what I did. I had to get my 17-56-1 very low to the ground and be able to move it side ways to get in to my garage. So I got my brother to make a simple trolly on casters. The castors are rated at 600kg each and the panda sits on a 50mm by 50mm rail that sits under the springs, which use the u bolts on the axle to hold it in place. It is very easy to move. I can move it easily on my own. You do need to be careful as it can wander when you move it, kind of like a 2 ton shopping trolley. But it does work very well for what I need. As where I am the ground is flat.

Hey rojoberry

I think the castors where around the $400 mark. As for the steel I was able to get it for free from work, and my brother did all the welding for me as I cannot weld to save myself.

Oh and I forgot to tell you that it lowered the van by about 200mm, but this would depend on what size tires you had I have the standard 15 inch rim, and the drum's sit about 10mm off the ground.
