Hi all, Soaring here. I hope everyone is well.
Haven't been on the forum for a while, probably over 12 months.
We did an involuntary stint O/S for work (China), and with the Expanda locked up at home I have not wanted to torture myself with talk of mods and camping when I couldn't do any of it. :)
Anyway, back in town now and hot to trot with the van.
Looking through the forum, it looks like its going stronger than ever. There are heaps of new members and new vans.
We are planning a Trip up the centre and down the west coast, leaving the end of June for three months, so I have some work to do to get the Expanda ready.
I'll post a separate thread for this.

Welcome back. I think there is another forum member heading up the Centre about the same time as you. I am going also around mid July. Please keep the progress reports coming.

Thanks all. Great to be back.
@acmackie I was based out of Nanjing, but spent just as much time in India. Makes you appreciate what a great place we live in, and puts our first world problems into perspective.....
@Dove & @jacbaz this is my first draft our plan. GRR is the preference but depending on road conditions at the time, we may chicken out.

That's ~the exact trip we did in 2012 but Ex Adelaide. Enjoy!

Welcome back @Soaring and looks like a great trip..... The West Coast is a great place to visit and the locals are all friendly :D
When you are getting close to Perth keep us in mind and we might be able to get a few local forumites together for a catch up :very_drunk:

@Soaring your trip looks almost identical to ours except we will go the opposite direction. We leave April and get home end June. GRR is only partly on my agenda. Depending on conditions I could do it, but I have lots to fit into 3 months so 600km of slow travel rules it out even if I was up to the adventure.

It is a lot to fit into three months, we have the same, but I plan to go like buggery to get to the top, then spend as mush time as I can heading through GRR and down the west coast. Its all a compromise.
