Shower/toilet skylight

Can anyone tell me how to remove the outside roof mounted skylight on my 2010 17.56-2 that is in the shower/toilet. I tried to remove it today as it seems like it should just come off once you undo the clip on the hinge, but it wont budge. The adjuster inside looks like it will just slide out once the cover comes away from the hinge. Im not sure if im putting enough man power into it but I dont want to break it.

The reason I want to remove it is because I can then park it in the carport. I need the extra 50mm of clearance it will give me. :doh:

Don't know about removing the hatch but did you know that you can get caravan storage wheels?

They are called easy park wheels available from camec and are super-low profile wheels that are only just bigger than the brake drum.

Thanks for replying, I should have explained that im about 50mm short even using the easy park wheel option. The only way I can gain the required clearance is by removing that hatch. Dang.......looks so easy to remove too.
