In all seriousness, when do we expect the new rig to land?
Coincidentally the fleet manager rang today. The Troopy is currently bobbing about on a boat somewhere in the Pacific, due at the dealership on Aug 12th. I was provided the VIN number when it came off the production line so the federal SSM approval is already underway, which otherwise apparent can take some time. Its got a bit of other option work to be done and hopefully that all wont push handover out any further so Im hoping ill have it within 4 weeks. We're were planning to head up NSW coast Sept sch hols, but probably wont have time to sort out power and trailer brakes before hand. Im in negotiations with my brother to do a lightning tour up around Uluru and the West Macs ... in swags. Havent done that for a while, could be fun

Sounds great mate. Really looking forward to seeing the new beast.
I all started out exciting, but that new car novelty has kinda all but worn off, and ive had way too much time to mull over the cost, ha. Luckily i suppose i still cant square up anything else to rival it for our needs

How are you finding the return to the suburban grind after the lengthy freedom you have experienced? Would you do it again, now the dust has settled and you look back through less tinted glasses??

Mate... S. T. Ruggling. Not a day goes by when I'm day dreaming of life back on the road.

Would I do it again? One of the things that keeps me going is the fact that I WILL do it again. Not sure when. Probably when kids leave the home. So we can sell it to buy back into the caravan market.

It changes how you look at many things and the lifestyle certainly gets into your blood. Then you kinda get punished for the rest of your life with the flashbacks.

I look more at it that others are getting punished (albeit unknowingly) by the fact they don't have the memories! Better to know and miss, than miss and not know.
