Some mods completed after a couple of short shakedown trips. An aluminium box on the drawbar for gas bottles, weber and generator. After sikaflex and bolting 9mm ply to inside bottom of box it was necessary to trim a bit out of the lid strengthener. Still solid enough.
Swing up jockey wheel and DO35 coupling of my old swan. T.V. Antenna holder were the original jockey wheel was.
And my favorite, after fiddling around with three different keys for the three external doors, I replaced the catches with keyed alike compression latches. Took the bolts out of the new latches and the lock just nice.

The box looks familiar, as I have the same one. I really like the way they fit on the front, nice and neat cut outs on the lid strengthener.

I just need to get a webber( what size is yours???) but happy now that I can see that it will fit in the box.

Cheers

Hi Mogsaway, the weber is the baby q. I do have to remove the lid for it to fit into the side door. Then just slide the lid in behind it.

Very nice - what brand is the toolbox, and what did you do with your spare? I've got the same van and would like somewhere to put the weber & generator...

cheers
Hi benrosenick, I bought the box online from E and Z trading and picked it up in Campbellfield. It's the 2055 model I think. I'm going to mount a spare up the back somewhere. Car spare fits the van with some extra toyota wheel nuts so I haven't got around to it yet. I've got a spare ready to mount, will go on before any long trips.

Hey have you got some more details on the keyed alike compression hatches? Where did you get them from?
Hey Brad. The got the latches from a trailer spares joint in Swan Hill. Huntsmans or other trailer spare places in melb should have them. Heaps on eBay aswell. Just be sure they're keyed alike.

We'll I finally got a mod done that I have been meaning to do for months now.
Sliding draw in the front boot thanks to mikerosenkids.
I folded the draw out of 1.6mm aluminium and rolls on sliding door rollers inside some upside down track.
There's room either side and underneath the drawer for rake, broom and rods n stuff

X 2 on the Draws. Been thinking about doing something like this for a while, you have nailed it. As above any plans or measurements would be great.

X 3 on the drawer. My boot is a jumbled mess of bits and pieces. >:(
So when it is fully extended like in the picks, What is stopping the it from dropping down?

I think I just answered my own question. It not "fully extended, right? Only 2 thirds? works for me!

What I would like to do is use the top of the drawer as a bench that I could sit the webber, or my gas burner on. Saves having an extra table or stand.
