Our 16-49-1 had one key for all locks on bed ends, one for both boot hatches, one for door and the plastic one for water access so 4 all up, I assumed this was standard..

Now the van is here - it's time to fiddle...

Latest List of Mods:

- External LED Strip Light
- Gas Bottle Locks via welded chain link
- All halogen globes replaced with LEDs
- CTEK 250S Dual DC/DC & Solar MPPT Charger (from Anderson Plug)
- Jockey Wheel holder on inside of A-Frame (HR WDH gets in way of external jockey wheel mount)

Planning many more Mods - but heading away for 2 weeks to track up to Byron Bay and back over the school holidays.

Maiden Voyage will be a 3,500km round trip, so fingers and toes all crossed.

Hi Ro,

I have a quick question for you, I have been following another thread (Battery Charging) where you said your fridge is powered from from pins 9 & 10 on the 12 pin plug. My question is this, if you are charging your 2 x 100AH on-board van batteries from the car through the CTEK D250S while driving why not run your fridge off the van batteries as well? What is the point of the separate circuit from the car to power the fridge? The reason I ask is that was the way I was going to run our setup, look forward to your reply.
Thanks
Dave

@gwadir,

Sorry for the "very late" reply.

I wanted a "non-Jayco" heavy duty wired circuit (6B&S) from the vehicle's battery to the van's CTEK charger - 6B&S all the way through with no "surprises".

Yes, I could put the fridge direct to the van's batteries, but have not yet bothered.

Cheers,

Rohan

Stopped for a few minutes at Dadswells Bridge on the Western Highway to have a look at the Giant Koala and some morning tea.

Unfortunately, we were all very underwhelmed with the Giant Koala and also the "tea rooms" - they have clearly been left to run down and we literally walked in and turned around and left. Ended up being a very quick stop. We spent more time taking a few photos...
