After a long wait from ordering in March at the Melbourne Caravan Show, our 17.56-2OB has finally made it home. :bounce:

Was meant to pick it up yesterday, but things were against us, so we picked up this morning. Thankfully the weather was also sunny, rather than the foul wind and rain of yesterday.

Everything we ordered is there, the only thing I can fault is that we asked for the control panel to be mounted on the panel beside the sink rather than the base of the dinette, but hey!

Ordered the Winguard Sensar and have received the upgraded Winegard Freevision HV Antenna.

Also, Rangehood lights are now LEDs & the best of all is that most things are keyed alike! Only 6 keys to worry about. :amen:

Final configuration:
  • Standard 17.56-2 OB features +
  • Sparrow Rooftop Air-Conditioning
  • 150lt Fridge
  • 12v Fridge Fan
  • Privacy Screens
  • 3 Shelves in Robe
  • Dual Gas Bayonet - Front & Rear
  • 2 x 100AH Batteries
  • External Shower
  • Light over External Shower
  • 2 x Picnic Tables
  • Full Oven
  • Control Panel
  • Winegard Freevision HV Antenna
  • 12v sockets under each dinette table
  • Dual 240v sockets under each dinette table
  • Solar Pre-Wire
  • Extended Drawbar
  • Stone Deflector
  • Prestige Jayco Add-A-Room
  • External TV Antenna near 12v Plug
  • Anderson Plug Wired to Batteries

Sorry for the lack of quality of the pics - my phone does not do a good job!

Looks great guys, I do like the idea of the dual tables.

Is that ariel a wind up version? I assume it is dedicated digital only.

Well done and enjoy.

Mick,

Yes, it is wind up - Kids have only looked at digital channels (ABC-3) this evening.

As our weekends are fully booked with other commitments, getting away anytime soon before we head off for a 3,500KM trip, the kids have decided to go weekend camping in the driveway!

Cheers,

Ro

Matty4,

All credit for the dual picnic tables goes to BusyBusyMum!

We liked the idea so much....

The folk in the factory left almost no room for the after market Prestige Jayco annexe wall rails.

If looking for this option in the future, make sure that you very clearly have the dealer specify to leave enough room for annexe rails!

Hi Ro,

It looks perferct behind the Cruiser. The two picnic tables would have to be one of the best and most practical add on's I have seen. We ended up with the same antenna as you guys. It seems to have a few connection points over and above the older style, but the dealer advised me that it will pick up a signal from a lot further away.

It is a pitty about your guages and hws switch. Ours was moved, so I am not sure why they would not have moved yours. Its not a big one though, but a little strange non the less.

How did your hand over go?

Happy days

Kev,

Hand over went really well. John is a no-fuss guy and made it very simple and pleasant. All up it took 3 hours, but this included the WDH fitting and electric brake setup and testing.

Very happy with the team at Prestige Jayco - Bendigo.

They are getting ready for their big 3day sale this weekend - might head back and get some specials from the shop.

Guess I will move the switches and control panel at some stage - probably put an air vent in their place so it looks nice and neat.

Cheers,

Ro

Congratulations, it looks unreal, you will have to let us know how everything performs. Are the winegard freevision standard on all new vans?

Greg,

Looking at all the new vans in the dealer's yard the other day, I would have to say yes, but this is still worth checking.

Jayco may have done something about the keys, as I think we only have 5 or 6 as well. All the locks of the same style are keyed alike, so I don't think we could ask much more than that really.

Yes, I have 5 or 6. One of them is a little star key. I have no idea what it is for!
Interestingly there is only 1 key (ie no copy) provided for the outdoor shower

Relgate,

Same here with the shower key. Hmmm, off to the hardware store to get 2 spares cut!

Is the "star key" a little white plastic one? If so, that is for the water connection/fill door.
