Thanks we get around 22 if no tail wind with the Disco.. Looks nice that floor colour nicer then ours we probably going to carpet it in the next few weeks
You be a very happy camper opened any cold drinks sat back and relaxed yet.
You front yes camping tonight? Kids thrilled ;)
Funny we've had a procession of neighbours through it all 'kicking the tyres'. Then the kids got home and checked it out for the first time. Dear wife @Willow4 had bought a bottle of posh plonk so we have sat in the van playing cards and yes polishing off most of a celebration bottle befor dinner! Flogging down by the way, but the good news is no leaks and extremely cosy! Just GREAT. Could be anywhere in Australia right now..........

Yep, happy with the colours chosen. Actually I think the floor was not a choice, just generic, but it does look good. Coleman air con is very effective too, and the way most of the led lights are intelligently linked is cool.

The "bottle of posh plonk" was Verve Clicquot to celebrate this day. So happy with the caravan. Just want to pack it and head off, anywhere. Just love it.
Can't believe it is on the driveway. :)

Congrats folks, but don't just look at it, get it out in the great outdoors. Let the good times roll. :car:
Yes - about that getting it out there; we're off next weekend, and we have pretty much a whole year of trips planned. I've been addicted to wiki camps finding the best free camps and intend to laze into some of those spots. Couple of basics to work out his weekend; sort the big pile of keys into a set each! See how all the Hoses go together. Read some manuals on how things are supposed to work!

Thanks @McKenzie. Don't worry the time will pass! Just watch out if it goes like ours you might not get handover for another three weeks after it is scheduled to roll off the line. Anything earlier will just be a bonus! And the 17.58-1 is a great choice and will be awesome once it gets to you!

So today will see me making the beds, wish me luck on the singles!

I'll also start to put things in the kitchen. Any hints or tips you all have I'd be grateful for - this is our first caravan. Aldi had some lovely melamine plates, bowls and salad bowls this week so bought some of those. I'm unsure when to put cups etc I plastic boxes in cupboards or drawers to limit movement.

I'd like to buy some plastic boxes for the bathroom cupboard. I bought some yesterday from the Reject Shop for all of the wardrobes, which we had shelved, so that I can be organised with swimmers etc.

I am hoping that the rain stops so we can get the van organised, first trip in next weekend. So this will also be our shakedown trip.

Congrats guys, she looks great!
It's a wonderful feeling having it home, and thinking about the adventures and good family times that lay ahead. Enjoy guys.

Hm
Thanks @Holden_man.

We can't wait for the adventures and the memories we'll be making.

Just sitting in it last night with the rain pouring down was lovely, as @Gilmorehappy said "we could be anywhere in Australia". I think the map is going to be well used.

We are very happy with the colours @davemc. They look nice together.

The kids were organising who gets which bunk!!

We did sit in there drinking some bubbles yes, a little celebration to mark the occasion. It would have been rude not to!!

Just enjoy the van you will start thinking of ideas :)
I find it easier to pull out the bed put the fitted sheet back on and slide it back in :)
We got some small plastic containers from reject shop which we put things in then put in kitchen shelf.
I put a pull out pantry next to the oven as that small cupboard is not great for things.

If you use the micro, get some containers/plates that can go in there, as melamine doesn't. (I ended up buying Corelle plates, as my boys are forever heating things up). I did put a rolling pin in the kitchen draw. Even though you can roll pizza dough with a tin of spaghetti, it's not quite the same.
Red dot, ikea, Coles and reject shop seem to have the little plastic tubs that fit nicely into the overhead cupboards. Definitely get measurements first though, saves buying an assortment then taking back the ones that don't fit.
And don't forget to pack the bug spray/ant sand, etc. the one time you forget....you'll need it.

I lined every cupboard and shelf with the non slip matting stuff and so far none of my plates, cups have moved. I have them in a big cupboard as we have 6 of everything. Also makes it easier for kids to get stuff and to put things away.....just the one place so there are no "meltdowns" about not being able to reach or can't find it.
Have fun packing it all in there.

Hi @Smirke - I definitely want a rolling pin yes thanks for the reminder. We have two in the drawer so I'll go and grab one now.

I'm just about to head on it there, the rain will not stop me today, and measure the drawers and sit in there and cut them out then I can tick that job.

I should have taken measurements of the cupboards, I went to shops and bought some plastic things but when I got back they weren't suitable so back to kmart they go!!

Thanks for your tips :)

Yes non slip we put it everywhere :)
Here is a video might give you some ideas of course its to sell there things

I also have a toolkit in the van, mossie candles etc
We have glad wrap, baking paper, sandwich bags, larger snap lock.
I agree we got plastic plates so can go in microwave, also a plate cover for microwave less cleaning.
Can take some pics if you want of our 22.68
There is a few threads around although not as much as Expandas although a lot of the idea's for Expanda's will work in the Starcraft

We also put a small tub in each shelf in the back wardrobe for undies/singlets saves looking for them
