whats the consumption comparison with your 120 V6 @dagree ????????????
No idea @bigcol ... After towing with a V8 petrol 100 series and working out the consumption on that I haven't bothered working it out as the Prado "must" be better!!!

Tell a lie. Did calculate one trip to Busselton and back with 50% towing and 50% not and worked out around an average of 16 - 16.5/100.
Not owing I average 14 so guessing it would be up around the 18 - 19/100 while towing?

I saw you post above and thought 23/100 seemed excessive (not doubting your post;))for a 4.0lt towing such a small van.
Premium unleaded, three speed auto, stock as a rock, new air cleaner element, averaged 90/95 kph.
On a recent trip down to Thredbo (not towing) we averaged 13's per 100kms.
The Prado pulled the weight with ease. Never found it struggled with the van in tow.:first:

Well there you go. With a steel bar, aux battery, fridge, A/T tyres, snorkel and other stuff plus driving at 110km/h with both water tanks full in the van I can see where the difference is.

Sydney. Northern Beaches.
Decided to swap the standard tow bar to a heavy duty Hayman Reece.
I was left with a fair sized cut out in the bumper.... stumbled across a thread on Pradopoint where someone had modified a 150 series trim bezel to suit the 120. Worked a treat.
Oh did I mention the post was from @dagree :bounce:
Cheers mate.....great idea :tea:
