Latest addition. Waeco reversing camera for the new van.
Not in the photo, I put a switch in one of the switch blanks to turn the camera on at any time.
Now to find that bl $#dy rattle in the dash I created.

curious about putting in another switch.................
I have my 7" monitor on the console next to the gear lever
and just use the "on/off" switch on the monitor to turn both Cams on / off

I used the switch to bypass the need for a reverse trigger.
It's wired directly to a power lead on the ash tray light. Down side, I didn't think too hard and need the lights on for the trigger to work.
The reason being I want to see what's going on behind me when I'm driving.

mine is not wired to the reverse lights..................................
and I can have it on all the time - driving and watching the peanuts behind me or reversing (which I have never bothered to look, while reversing)
twice maybe in 7 years, I have looked at the camera while reversing
my camera is mounted on the drivers side, at the rear of the Van on the rear bar........
when I was teaching SWMBO how to tow the Van, I got her used to looking at the monitor, to let her know when she was far enough in front of who ever she passed, to move back into the left lane
120* camera, when the whole front of a car is in the monitor, your about 50m in front of them
