We arrived in Nambucca and setting up the neighbours "warned" us of repeatedly having their water and power turned off whilst they were out

Hitching up to leave and some looser has stolen my shackles, which connected to my car. Arghhhh, bad taste in my mouth
My own fault (sort of) but on our most recent trip the rear tailgate lock failed on my ute - on the day we had to pack up (actually worked OK in the morning). Being paranoid about leaving the shackles on the van because of theft I took them off and locked them in the drawers - had to make a trip into town, find a hardware store (was actually a camping store in the end) that carried 2T shackles. Oh well - first world problems. Now I have a spare set ;) (might have to put them in the glove box I think)

Wow @Macca_75 , that is above and beyond, I have known, infact seen, possibly taken part in using a padlock and a zip tie in some situations where an idiot lost a shackle..........

I have "100 mile an hour" tape ( 164kph sounds dumb) for that, cover the switches and tap end and have the gas on so if the power goes off the fridge will automatically fire up on gas, then when I get back I go into tracker mode and possibly check video. Tape has also been called "Instant AirFrame " covers bullet holes very well.
