OH shade wall gods. Why do you hate me so much! :boxing:

New AFK kit arrived last night from Aussie traveller. Fitted it and works a treat as they always do.
New sun buster wall also arrived and its 5150mm long. My fabric on the awning is 4900 long. So now its off to the trimmers to get the extra....you guessed it. TRIMMED OFF! My awning measures 18' so I ordered the one to suit 18' but its that bit too long?
It seems a very well made and good quality wall but faaaaar out its weighs an absolute ton. Its like an annex wall but with tinny holes in it. The spine in it seems to retain its folded up shape to because it is covered in some sort of rubber? Makes it and absolute PITA to slide in but ergh....what do ya do
I thought it would be shade material like the rest of them but its not. My fault for not checking the website first I guess but I couldn't find it and while I was ordering the AFK I thought what the hell.
Still waiting for the other end wall which has the extra meter of roof. Then off for a week to try her all out.

image.png image.png image.png As for the car front

Hatch is off the road. Broke a rocker shaft on a cruise. Waiting on parts then back on track for another blurt down the quarter.

The 57 has been to a few shows recently. It got best car there both times so wrapped with that.
It's currently sitting waiting for its next cruise. And somewhere in between all the car things I'd love to get away in the van again. Oh how I hate work as it just gets in the way of everything

Couple of pics for the car lovers here

@Paul good stuff with the 57.
Have traveled to Willowbank a few times for the Winter Nationals, winning the ANDRA series back in 2001 with a C Dragster & recently 2015 as crew chief for a mates Cobalt in Super Stock which took out the series & winning the meeting.
Had my first drive in a pretty tidy 57 the other day.

Cool. Good stuff
Love the winternats. We go every year as spectators. I'd give my left one to run in supercharged outlaws one day but need more than a lotto win ;)

When we had a naturally aspirated 500 in the Colbalt, we got invited to the NT Titles to run the car there, they put us in Super Charged Outlaws, that didn't win any friends as we top qualified & was runner up at that meeting, ended up with tyre shake in the final :p

There's a place in Gympie that has all these old car body panels as well as some that are just crying out for a resto, the other day I see a style side Ford of 50's vintage, done up, looking ready to show................I so much wanted to stop but raced away down the road instead, soooo tempting....................chanted to myself "You want a tinny, Ian..you want a tinny".....

This is a mates show job, road registered, goes like the clappers and sounds brilliant..........could buy a house for the cost of the paint job.

Haven't been on here in a while.
Not much vanning has been happening as usual :(
Got to spend a week at the dam before Christmas which was nice

Van back in storage until a week at Easter then might sell it as I just don't get the time it.

As for the car front. Don't ask lol
