Maralinga @megcam the timing is right for the UK Nuclear tests around Woomera & Maralinga

Yeah I was guessing around there or Woomera. Wonder how the OH & S people would feel about an antenna that is not safe to look at?

I've asked some mates who used to wander around that way about the sign, they would probably know as I think they glow in the dark......just waiting for a reply.

It is out the back of Woomera but was told can't recall any signs as it was all black and white back in those days........

Similiar but a bit later in yours @bigcol based on the 2 buildings to the right being completed . I like the different tones that come out in the slides.

I noticed that, but not the buildings after posting

must be a "Lookout" both were taken from? - not been to Canberra since 1974, so not 100% sure I even know whats in the pictures

Probably taken from Mt Ainslie, have to dig out some of mine I think 1968 but have some of Dads that are a bit earlier..........when I wandered the corridors of those buildings the tree's were a heck of a lot bigger.
No Telecom Tower or Carrilion........................
