Nah not yet. Although it was never what Jayco claimed it to be anyway. The box itself isn't much heavier than the wheel. The drawers and slides add a bit. I might still cut the gen drawer down to be just a slide. The thing is the BBQ and other stuff lived in the front of the van anyway and the gen lived in the back of the Cruza so I really have only moved them to one spot. I have tried towing with front tank full and front tank empty and no gen in the box. It actually feels better with the front tank full?

The Cruza doesn't mind a bit of a load and being 3.8t loaded itself its a great tow rig. Only found out the other day when checking underneath the drivers side brake line had come away on the van. So I was towing with only one side working. It certainly stops better now but it wasn't an issue before either. You can't beat "having mass when towing mass".

Lifting the gen out takes a bit of effort, hence why I have been thinking of making it a tray. But then the drawer is so damn handy for smuggling a few extra supplies away. :very_drunk:

Tbh mate Iam not a fan either, might bring it to CC for a group drink........ At least it will be better than west end?
