@Soaring Which CP did you end up at there, we are looking to do a weekend that way soon. How'd the Territory tow up through Pentland Hills??
We are at Parkgate big 4 @Pace . Not a bad park. We were escorted to our site by the manager on his golf buggy, and he helped with van positioning. Apparently new owners.

The Territory did well enough. I'm not sure which are the Pentland hills, but I assume they are the pretty steep ones an hour or so out of Melb.
Where I could I got a run up on the way down, and pretty much kept to 100 on the way up. Not much left in it though.
Averaged 15.4 for the trip keeping to around the 100km/h.

We watch a family set up last night in a swan. They arrived at 9:30pm! To their credit, they were very quiet including their two boys, and only really did the minimum setup for the night. They finished the setup this morning, but were still at it for about an hour.
I love the Expanda!

@Soaring Parkgate, yeah Mrs Pace and i stayed there 1996 in a tent. I knew the owner then, Kevin. Have heard its been upgraded, might go back, though Lake Fyans is on the list to go stay also. Yes Pentland Hills would be those you mentioned, just the other side of Bacchus Marsh and before Ballan, great to hear.

Pace.

ok its pretty standard, 1 battery, outside table mounts to side, full annex never used apparently, 150L fridge which was a must, bunks, roof air con.
does anyone know how much a nsw unregistered vehicle permit is, as its rego expires tomorrow and i didnt see any sense in it being renewed as its no use to me (qld to nsw).
still in shock by what we have done, cant wait to get it, hopefully thurs next week

G'day @pomtony and welcome to the 17' owners club
Nice Buy you won't be sorry we love ours
as for your rego I think you still have to get an inspection in NSW to get an unregistered permit (typical RTA madness)
We bought ours in VIC and it was going to cost $428 + inspection + weighbridge ticket to register in NSW
Hence its still registered in VIC in a Friends name just renewed it cost $47.60
Might be worth seeing if QLD do 3 months Rego to give you enough time to get it home and new Rego sorted, probably cheaper than a NSW permit
Cheers Cris

Know several ppl who do the same, only it's registered in their own names but registered garage address is Vic, courtesy of family members/friends there. Saves $ every year on rego, & literally thousands on stamp duty at purchase as they bought new.
Also saved hassle, time & $ of new set of compliance certs which were needed in Tas (even tho their vans were new..) :smile-34:
