How good is the new Disco looking! Will be interesting to see how close to this the next model is. Going to have some pretty awesome features:clap2:

not a fan myself.... bit too flash me thinks. very Territory-ish looking

As long as we can fit a bull bar and snorkle etc, and it doesn't come in 22" wheel standard as suggested.
Although this may be the 'road' version and there is suggested a 'rugged 7 seater version' tho. (possibly also know as the Defender replacement).

What does interest me though is the aluminium chassis supposedly dropping the weight by 500kg but keeping the same GVM

Can't see them saving 500kg SD! I have had a bit todo with alloy bodied vehicles overseas as it's all the rage now but the change from steel to alloy shouldn't save that much. It's mainly being driven as a corrosion deterrent and the replacement alloy chassis sections are quite a bit thicker in section than steel. It should put the "black box" rust protection business's outta pocket though!

Wonder if this new one comes standard with oil leaks too..... :)
:behindsofa:
No just electronics that like to flash warnings which are normally fixed just turning the Disco off and on at next set of traffic lights... Yes our air suspension light was coming on again took it in for service they said all ok. Should be only just replaced.. Although touch wood been a week or so no light. Bugger should not of mentioned it.. the Disco will hear me :)

Yeah I can't see it being 500kg, but the RRSport did shed around 350kg.....

@Holden_man...you're getting confused with manufacturers again  That's LC200s that had the oil problem. D1 & D2 were just poor build quality overall :distrust: (unfortunately while Ford owned them I admit....) My d4 hasn't leaked a drop since getting it. :):):)

The 200's don't drop a bit of oil they use it! And because they hold 11 litres and have a zillion dealers around (something never considered for "4x4 of the universe award" it doesn't mater :p

Ask me sometime about my experience with a demo Disco when buying the last truck? Sat nav, windows and something else didn't work! Brand new $145k car ! After simply explaining it as a "low battery voltage problem" Then the stealer then says , " oh buy the way the price I gave you yesterday (last day of the month) for the SE has gone up by $10k" !!!

Walked next door to the Toyota dealership and the three kids got in the back of the 200 and then went "yep"
