We only have two kids but love 16.49. No toilet or shower inside as no one wanted to clean it. We settled on shower tent and porta potti with out side shower. Never been any hassles other than re-folding shower tent. We enjoy the extra room in the van more than the hassle of walking to loo's.

my thoughts Barney. I be the one with the crap job literally. :)
Although 4 young kids might be better then late night walks through the park.
Hired a 16.49-4 Bunk for next weekend down Bellarine Big4. I prefer the bunks and have the table free from making and un making each day.
Although club lounge might be better for 6 then the dinette so might look second hand 16.49-2 if we like it.

Merry Christmas all thought I give an update.
So had a weekend in the drizzle down Bellarine BIG4. Nice place for kids amused well. We'll be back there for sure longer next time.
We both agreed we did not like the bed in the expanda, apart from the lovely seam I had to avoid the wife did not like being on the outside with the roof above her. Felt claustrophobic, nice and windy weekend as well so we had the magic carpet sleep one night.
The twins too sneaky being in a double by themselves. The hire van had the bigger fridge so no bench space at all.

So we are off the idea of a expanda sorry guys.
The Discovery really cannot sleep 6 in comfort for to long. Every dealer said they can do us a fantastic deal on the 17.55-5 as they struggle to sell them
The Starcraft is pretty perfect if the double bed was a real double bed :) we stopped at Jayco Newcomb who said they do not think they have one in to mid next year to look at. If I ordered I get one March, said I would not order without seeing the new bed. New one he said will be a dual axle and bigger. So I assume like the 17.55-5
So we are looking for vans like the new Starcraft with a full sized double, so Coromal or Avan Lily.
There is a few Avan Lily's around we already looked at these closely at October Leisurefest.
Looked at one yesterday second hand really like it although need to give it a full look over.

We have the 17.56-2 and love it. We have 3 girls 1, 3 and 5 and it's so great having the toilet option. The shower doesn't get used that often but it's still great to have the option to use it if need be. The older 2 love having the bunk beds to sleep in leaving the youngest in the big bed, less chance of falling out.

Thanks although looks like we will be getting a Avan Lily if it all checks out once caravan places are back from Christmas holidays.
Basically same layout as Starcraft although L shape lounge and real double bed. Going to be a tight squeeze to put the Caravan in to our space, so might be movers needed to go A-frame first :( over $3k.. or leave it in storage.
