Thanks all for the welcome... Chistmas trip starts with 10 days in Porepunkah Victoria then home for a week ( That work thing ) then of to Bonny Hills near Port Macquarie for 7 Days.. not bad 17-18 days in the first month of a new Van. Hope the average can stay up there....

Opions on the the new van 16-49-2 touring.
Under slung axle for that bit of extra clearance, our camper dragged its tail on our driverway.
The basics, wind up tv ant, roll out awning and drop flies. Dual Gas bottles, Gas bayonette at rear for webber, Heron aircon. Reading alot of posts but decided to stick with small fridge for the extra bench space, we tend to use the waeco outside for drinks etc. 100amp Battery, extra power point at dinette, removed microwave for pot drawer instead, draws under bottom bunks for kids clothes etc, innerspring mattress.

Bike Racks seem to be a regular issue, we had racks on the Eagle and it was a problem with the expanda.. Solution, Thule Pro-Ride bike racks or Rola on the car. Face 1 forward, next to the rear and so on. We can fit 4 bikes on the roof.

Speaking of tow truck, 2010 NT DID Pajero RX,:becky: known as Percy, named after Percy Montgomery the South african Rugby player. Fast, powerful, agile but just abit too pretty!!!

Welcome to the forum, as said you'll find a lot of friendly & helpful advice here.
We also went from a 2007 Eagle to a 16 series...... Had a call today to confirm our p'up date 26th November....... 3 more weeks:clap2:
Hope yours arrives on time for you.

By the way we call our tow vehicle Bruce......... Can't explain why, wasn't my decision. May be looking at updating in the new year...... Have my eye on the Pajero too.

On that basis I should call our Prado "Fitzy" after Peter Fitzsimmons.....you know, Lisa Wilkinson's Hubby. Why? Tough, Strong, not a looker and punches above its weight! (Fitzy's words that last bit - he calls himself the "President of the Blokes Punching Above Their Weight Club".):biggrin1:
