Thanks for the link @dagree and we are looking forward to being a part of the gang!

Just need the accommodation to arrive and hopefully it's no later than March!

Sounds like what you do is mainly free camping? If that's the case I might have a nice spot for a winter/spring get together one day :)

I see. We like parks... The kids especially! We have a farm just north of Bindoon, and its a nice place to do nothing, when its not summer and too hot!!

So when we join the gang it's always an option :biggrin-26:

Our own farm. It's not huge, around 200 acres. But it has a winter/spring creek that runs through it and its quite a pretty spot of the WA country being on the edge of the Darling scarp. And it's only an hour and a half from Perth, so it makes a nice getaway.

My kids love it as they get marshmallows and tractor rides.

Do you plan on cooking a lot in the van Micheal? I haven`t got a oven in my van as we use a Weber Q like a lot of members on here. I see you want to put a box on the front is it for something like that? A oven does use a bit of storage space inside. I think the cooking outside is part of the whole camping thing. Just my thoughts.
Cheers Matt.

Hi Matt. We will do both, inside and outside cooking. Weber Q is the plan, and coming from the camper trailer we are used to cooking out. We don't have a Weber yet as the current camper has a built in sovereign BBQ. But will be getting one.

Coming from the camper I am overwhelmed by the storage in the Expanda. We lose the two drawers underneath, and end up with a small storage space at the base of the oven once fitted. I will happily sacrifice the drawers for the oven. We recently went away with some friends who hired a van with a similar cooker to the standard Jayco one, and it was a frustrating experience for them. And.... They had a Weber Q - which got a lot of use mind you... But the oven would have been handy!

Great list of options there @MichaelB , looks like you've got it covered.

Get the oven. Using a Weber is good, but only when the weather is nice.
One of our breakfast treats when we are away is croissants. Wack them in the oven and they're done in under 10mins.
I think the gas oven is a lot more efficient then the Weber.

Also :welcome:

We use our oven to heat pies etc and also do garlic bread in it. Its very handy to compliment the bbq and fantastic in bad weather
