Well as some of you may know i have been looking at get into a van with an ensuite for about 18 months now.
At the start of the year we had kid number 3, so need a van to fit a family of 5, and was pretty limited by the space i had to park the van and of course funds. I seriously considered the Starcraft, firstly the 16.67-3, then the newer and larger 17.58-3. I think i have looked at them both more times than i care to remember. But both just weren't quite right for me. Plus we just loved sleeping under canvas still, the novelty hasn't worn off yet.
So I recently sold our trusty 14.44-4 after many years of awesome holidays (as a family of 4) and set off looking fo a new ensuite van. I found a good 16.49-3 through this forum and have done the deal with the dealer that now had the van. Yes we will have to do the dinette converter thing to fit a family of five in which i know most people hate doing, but we will just have to make it work.
So yes i decided to buck the trend and rather than follow everyone into a Starcraft or Sterling, i decided to stick with what i know and love, the Expanda
I have liked this layout for many years ever since seeing @Bushman s great van many years ago during my Hawk days. Back then i couldn't afford the ensuite model, but now here i am. Thanks to @cruza driver for answering all my questions over the last few weeks about this model.
Pick up is late next week, will post pics once i have it
