So I managed to tick off a few to do list items today before we head off for a couple of weeks for the school holidays.

100mm pvc fitted under the chassis to store the anti-flap

Brackets fitted to fold out bed to enable storage of a trestle table.

Second battery fitted

And most importantly, fridge filled with Crownies! :spit:

The brackets are the type you'd normally use for a wire balustrade, pilot holes drilled and a couple of stainless screws and they seem to be holding quite firmly.

I glued a rubber strip on to the fibreglass where the edge of the table sits to stop it from moving too much, time will tell if it all works!

Yes, I know what you mean about the never ending list! The next big mod might have to be a third water tank

Awesome idea. Was wondering where I could store my table. Looks like this should suit. Let us know if you come across any problems with it.
Thanks for showing!

Thanks Andrew, it's nice to know others have done it before without incident. I've worked out that there is enough room in there to also store my sullage hose, broom and plastic rake

Adam,
As I haven't taken delivery of my van yet, I am not overly knowledgeable with the workings of the bed. Can the table be left there when the bed is folded out and if not, do you think it possible to have it like this?

Cheers.
Paul.

Hey Paul. You would need to find a way to mount the table a couple of inches higher rather than just resting on the bottom lip of the opening. With the elastic straps it only takes 30 seconds to remove the table.
