Hi all,
was looking around for a good book on Australia that covers detailed maps with places of interest and maybe a journey planner. Any good ideas?
Cheers Brett

We've used the 'Explore Australia' books for the last 15 years and find them of benefit. They've gotten to be quite heavy and large for the car, so I just prefer a small Hema Handy Atlas next to me while driving, but we use the Explore Aust for planning and info etc.

Australia Road & 4WD Atlas by Hema maps is a good one. I am a map junky and this is one of the best I've seen. It includes campsites, van parks, roadhouses and rest areas.

Got Explore Australia as an iPad app. Purchase the states you need. Useful starting resource. Usually Guurgle any new places passing through or near just so we don't miss a treat. Also indexed my Caravan & Motorhome on Tour DVD's by town/region for a quick refresher. Like the HEMA hard copy stuff too.
