I should have added the pop top Journey Outback 17-55.8 is dual axel is worth a look especially for towing with ATM under 2500kg.

On paper it was OK, we love the NW Pajero as a tow vehicle and previously we had an NP Pajero for 8 years which towed a 1.2t Avan really well. Please be careful we were lucky as we had an email from the dealer with the weights. I do not think the brochure weights are legally binding, as they have caveats in the fine print, be especially careful if you modify anything from standard (e.g extra battery, etc)
Jayco make good value vans, but be careful with the single axel outback versions and the load rating of the Jayco supplied tyres and suspension. It can be tricky finding a full size ensuite caravan that a Pajero or Prado can legally tow. We are happy with our alternate caravan though it cost us a lot more that the Jayco we had on order.
