The idea behind the dinette table is to allow for easier access to put the BBQ in on the floor and to get the shade sale from under the front seat. My next modd should be here this week thanks to @crustt and his clear windows, should lighten the van inside a fair bit
We got so tired of this style of table including it pulling out of the wall and being awkward to sit on the seats, we replaced ours with a trifold table. People should really consider this seriously, it's great!

glad to hear I am not the only one that has had their table pull out of the wall, thought it was just my kids leaning on it a bit heavily. Barney.

Mine pulled out of the wall on the first day noticed it when we got home. Never liked this type of table before in vans so still thinking trifold and how we use the dinette as a bed? Have to cut around box on wall.

That's not what I did, I used 'box' supplied and mounted it on top of Skirting box.
Will send photo detail if you want

Marv do you know what size the box is? I saw your picture we have the wheel arch under dinette..
Sarah does not want to loose space incase we do put the twins on the dinette if we bring a friend.
I will have to go out to measure it, will have to wait til tomorrow, v cold and wet atm.
The 'box' sits on top of the skirting but was designed to sit on top off the larger wheel arch skirting on the dual axle models. I had to use the dual axle model chassis number to order one for my 14.44-5 OB.
I made some minor mods to make it work for me. All of the weight of the table is vertically down on this box and skirting with no weight or pull on the wall fixtures, standard Jayco wedges and of course the good old dollop of silicone.

Stopped raining so went out and had a look.
200mm deep, our skirting is only 100mm wide.
The box is 470mm wide and 470mm tall. The table screws on top of this. When folded is 3 layers taller than box, whe folded out is of course one thickness above box and perfect height for us.

Beautiful Burrum Heads QLD
and all done with a pair of pliers and a screw driver I see!! Are you planning on leaving the tele's there whilst travelling? Where did you get the brackers from they look substantial, love the side entry on the box, we have a genie slide on one side but only top entry where the crap is stored, its a real PIA once set up and you forget something as you will find once you forget to turn the gas on :)
cheers Dave

A pair of pliers, a screw driver and some electrical and you can fix the world :cool-19:. Done a trip with tvs in situ, rear has a bungee cord to the top bunk just to steady it and the front one has a locking screw, and both come from ebay :biggrin-26:

Hey Kevo,

Looking good.

One question with the new front alloy box _ Where's your spare, there is no spare on there any where. Sorry for the rhyme, couldn't help it, but seriously. where's the spare?

Now that's out of the way, I'm interested to know what location on the van, the spare tyre is now living.
I want to relocate mine.

I want to relocate mine.

I`ve only seen three options for the spare,
1 - under the rear of the van on a ute chain winder.
2 - on a drop down tyre carrier on the rear bumper.
3 - carried in the tug.
hope that helps @hilltopcrew .
