Looks pretty nice Matty! Can't wait to see a pic with your Van attached!

Dragged it out the change the anode in the HWS. In the end it was all good still, plenty of meat left on it, so I put it back.

Been a while since I've updated this thread but I haven't really done anything noteworthy to the Jeep, other than remove some of the excess exterior chrome, which I wasn't really a fan of.
Anyway, last week I finally managed to source some brand new 2014 18" rims so I can fit some reasonable AT tyres for trips away.

I've been up into the Vic High Country a couple of times with it on the stock 20" rims and HT (soft) tyres without any real issues, but was always a bit nervous, just in case a sidewall got staked etc.
So now I'm on the hunt for a decent set of 18" AT's for it, but they're not cheap.

Will possibly look at a front bar at some stage but undecided if I really need one, as they do ruin the look of the Jeep IMO.

Update.
The 18's I pictured above I sold on for a nice tidy profit and managed to pick up a set of MY12 18's already fitted with Cooper AT3's in the correct size. This little exercise got me the wheels and tyres for $130. Can't complain about that...
Anyway, I painted 'em black and fitted them as we're heading away Cup weekend to Bright (again) and I'm planning to take a drive up Blue Rag track, just for a look.

No, I only fitted them this weekend. These are a 2nd set for trips away if I plan to do any offroad work.
I have the factory 20" rims which are also black that I have had on.

Thought I saw you at the Mt Ev roundabout yesterday @cruza driver

Hey @Matty4 if you plan on doing some rocky roads etc I would advise you grab some side steps to stop the damage from rocks, this is the rear door (both sides are the same) after going to the corner, yes we did around 1500K on gravel roads (some couldn't even be classed as roads) but the damage is substantial. The sills are far worse than the doors, those marks are actual deep scratches lol

They would probably do the trick, I might have to get some to hide the scars, if I can ever get the dust out of it
I get some stuff of Murchison's up here in QLD as well

Oh yeah, the Uneek stuff is good, I wouldn't bother about the Mopar stuff.

Well I'd been promising myself one day to do something else with the Jeep that I'd done on previous cars, with great results.
So today.........................I had it tuned.

Using a Bluespark tuning box
http://www.bluesparkautomotive.com/carspecs2?carid=6574
and having it run on a dyno to see before and after all I can say so far after the drive home today is..................WOW...

160kw at the wheels equates to around 215kw at the flywheel, and it's now making around 630nm of torque!!!
Can't wait to hook up the Expanda now.................hehe

I've always wondered how mine would be with a Steinbauer hooked up, 250,000km and it has standard engine basically, well EGR shutdown years ago and extra fuel filter but still original injectors which are only .5ml difference on the leak back test and thats only 3ml over 2 mins better than some when new, had to run it a couple of times to make sure I hadn't stuffed something up.
Nice dyno figures there Matty4...............288Hp eng, 214HP wheels............... I have to use a converter, Kw, Nm just doesn't compute.

Don't you just the boys at HPF... I took my VE calais up there late last year for a tune, exhaust and a bigger breather box.... And the differences were phenomenal... And after a massive increase in torque and power... I actually averaged 1ltr p/100 less than in original kit towing my swan to and from Merimbula from Cranbourne...

Back in the olden days we would flip the top of the air cleaner over on the Holden V8 and bang you would then slam into the back of the seat when the peddle hit the metal, always liked the engine to get as much air as it wants then go from there.

That's awesome @Matty4 . I find my Jeep fast enough as it is, but those figures are very tempting. Keep us updated.

I fitted some Uneek rock sliders today, will put up some photos tommorrow.

Bit of an update.
Kinda following on from @achjimmy and his 200, I had a catback 3" exhaust fitted during the week.
A member of a Jeep forum I'm on used his to develop this kit and only 6 sets were made. Testing realised about an 8kw improvement. "First in, best dressed", he said. So I was in like Flynn.
Has a nice, slightly deeper burble to it now but it's only really noticeable on mid to full throttle, cruising it's not noticeable at all..

Pics below, will post a sound clip later for anyone interested.
