Interior Jayco wall mount table FIX

OK table has been fixed today and wall bracket will not come off unless the whole panel does, I will also change the leg to a mushroom style, but no time as heading out next weekend.
I used "mollys" hollow wall anchors as mentioned before, BUT short ones for 5mm walls. Photos tell the story, I used these every day for 10 years in my trade, so know what I'm doing. A few tips !!!!!
1- As wall material is to hard from gyprock, you need to notch the hole for the spikes to grab, if they don't grab, the molly will spin,
2- Use a molly gun if you have one, will stop spinning, less chance of stuffing up, mine in storage some where
3- If using a screw driver, use it by hand, cordless will strip, if you F these up, they don't come out !!!!!
4- Cut down longer screws later to mount the table
5- If it does spin, I had one, use a screwdriver to stop it spinning.

Swerve well done mate, Thanks for posting. I have a Molly gun I bought from Aldi a couple of years ago after always struggling without one. I wouldn't have thought abot the notching though so appreciate the heads up.

Great job @Swerve I might have to do that if mine comes out again.

You might want to check the Masonite wood under the cushion just found one side on ours does not overlap with the frame at the end. Heard a crack when the kids sat down. So on one side it is only the hinge and the front edge so of course it bent when the kids stood up to move over. the other end goes all the way to the wall. So was not centered when screwed in.

For those who have never used these. Have a practice on some spare panel or something, DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN

In one of the photos you can see the point bend, not sunken into the wall. hence have a play BEFORE you try this

Good fix. It doesn't take much to damage the .5mm thick strip of sheet steel glued behind the wall. The screws strip in the metals edifice someone leans on or moves the table

That's a much better solution

Used your post as ref today when fitting a wall rail bracket to the table in our Jayco ( rail/bracket came without instructions). Just wondering how the table is prevented from just lifting off the rail if bumped, or while travelling?

It should have a catch that over clips and holds on.
