Wazzar, Fantastic info mate. I went looking everywhere for the some info on what what IR receiver component it was and you did it! Problem is the site isn't loading your pics on this thread. Any chance you can post the Jaycar part number? Im assuming it is Cat No: ZD1952Truma Red Light Fault
I found this forum about The Truma Adventa Roof air con as I had a red light fault as well and couldnt find a fix. I did all the reset tricks as the book states and no luck. My local Air con guy sort of pointed me in the right direct reluctantly and I went searching.
So this is the problem and the fix as it worked for me 100%. The air unit over many years condensates on the inside and moisture runs down into the IR dome causing the pins to rust. So a $9 IR from Jaycar and some light soldering will fix your problem.
YOU WILL NEED A VERY SMALL TORX BIT to remove the board from the aircon panel (or a custom ground flat blade screw driver).
This board new is $360. so a $9 fix is worth a go anyday. You also need to pair the remote to IR as per booklet.
Good luck. Let me know how you go.
See the pics ive attached.
Well that leaves a lot of threads useless, is that from the latest upgrade ????I’m afraid pics are not left up after around 12 months,
