Quick update, took the van to have the air cond looked at. Turns out it was the Temperature sensor that had failed, which just locked the unit from starting. $35.00 for the sensor and $180.00 to have it fitted. Not a bad result I thought. The TV works fine too when there is a half decent signal!

Truma Red Light Fault

I found this forum about The Truma Adventa Roof air con as I had a red light fault as well and couldnt find a fix. I did all the reset tricks as the book states and no luck. My local Air con guy sort of pointed me in the right direct reluctantly and I went searching.

So this is the problem and the fix as it worked for me 100%. The air unit over many years condensates on the inside and moisture runs down into the IR dome causing the pins to rust. So a $9 IR from Jaycar and some light soldering will fix your problem.
YOU WILL NEED A VERY SMALL TORX BIT to remove the board from the aircon panel (or a custom ground flat blade screw driver).

This board new is $360. so a $9 fix is worth a go anyday. You also need to pair the remote to IR as per booklet.

Good luck. Let me know how you go.

See the pics ive attached.
