Well just got back from Inverloch, what a forgotten part of woods this place is. Have been itching to get this way for some time now and we made it.

After having to excuse myself from the Beaufort trip due to illness, plus all the bball we get the boys to, we set off to Inverloch after Vic Jnrs tryouts, oh eldest boy done really well.
Towed thru the Tulla over the Bolte into the Burnley up the Monash onto the Bass and all good. Pathy sucked the juice though I wound the chip up, so fair enough.
The entrance to the resort is some what just sneaks up on you, though being out of town by just 4 mins its welcoming not to have all the public walking though due to the proximity of the beach as the Big4 and the foreshore parks are setup.

Once you walk into reception, you greeted with an all mighty view of the ocean, I stood there for what I was told some 10 sec as the receptionist informed with my jaw dropped. All checked in and onto the site, wow again. Reception give a magnetic reader keyfob which has your site number on it and you can use it as cash through out the resort, so the kids don't need to carry money. It also allows you access to all areas over the resort.
Huge flat concreted sites, backed it in straight away, kids ran out of the car and made their way to the sighted flying fox as we drove in. Not to mention the rope pyramid, massive jumping pillow, 3 play grounds, footy oval with soccer and AFL goals, cricket pitch.

We got the site direct opposite the amenities block and just down from the camp kitchen, with just about 40 sites on offers. Had a number of on lookers to the ease of our set up, Mrs Pace was inside as I took care of the outer necessities ,kids made their way back to inform of all the sights plus asking permission to go back to the resort to see the recreation/ games room, indoor pool, spa, sauna, tennis courts, basket ball court (think they would've had enough of that, NOT), plus the kiosk, milk bar and restaurant.

Town has the essentials though Wonthaggi is only 10kms up the road and it is fully catered for, so heres hoping no commercialism comes to Inverloch given Wonthaggi is so furnished.

All in all, were going back. Was too much of a short stay, though a much needed one as Mrs Pace and I have been busy renovating and doing all the kids sports/school things and need to use our new his and hers reclining deck chair and we had time to sit back and watch the kids play with each other and the family of 7 girls next door to us.

Google it, you'll be impressed. Our rating 5/5.

Thanks @Pace, we are going there today. Heard a bit about it, comforting to know you gave it a good review. We will be setting up out annexe for the first time. Are the slabs bigger than normal annexe size or do you thing I will get away with pegging it.

Hi @brotys, did you leave yesterday? I saw a van with bed end covers on but I thought I saw it drive out yesterday. That storm was huge. I thought if we can survive that we can survive anything! The covers looked good, how do you find they are going.

:thumb: Thanks for the great write up @Pace
Is the park fairly protected from wind?

Thx CD. Re the wind, the weather was absolutely magnificent while there, the above pics aren't photo shopped and yes the trees were still as photos were taken!! Though I think it gets windy in the area given the wind farms you see in the distance.
