I once heard a quote after a similar conversation that I wasn't part of......
"Only a man knows what a man wants...."

P.S. I also love a Holden, but take it easy with the man love!

Ahh no man love here mate, just love our holdens.....:) And this is where my love of holdens started......

have to go now, going out to Shampoo the Battery :)

Sorry Holden_man, I think I need to come to your defence here.
To be Honest, before I became a Ford man, I was deeply entrenched in the Holden camp.
My first car was a baby poo brown VB commodore, 202 4 speed. This was stolen and used in an armed robbery and written off. I loved that car.
Next came a two tone blue over blue VC SLE 5.0lt. Got T boned and written off.
Along came a maroon over silver VHS SLE 5.0lt. I went through a wild patch with this one. L34 engine 2500 stall converter, 9" diff etc. This thing was crazy, and I got rid of it before it killed me.
A touch of maturity overtook me and I bought a white VR Berlina v6. Grandpa car, but looked much better after some suspension and VP GTS rims.
Traded that on a..............Astra. Enough said.
Then along came a runout Widetrack Jackaroo Nullabore. Great 4x4 very much under-rated. I kept this for 10 years until it copped the full brunt of the Melbourne Christmas Day storms. Write off.
while I had the jackaroo, I needed a cheap runabout, so instead of a small hatch or similar, I figured a HZ panel van would fit the bill. It had an asthmatic 179 on gas. 120 kph flat out! But I loved it.
I had plans to completely rebuild the van, but when I started doing research on part availability, I changed my mind, and went with a 66 Mustang. Since then, I haven't looked back.

Yes, sorry Hamish, but this sort of thing tends to happen Here!
On the ford front, apart from the stang, I've been fortunate enough to have a company car that I turn over every 6 months.
To name few, a couple of XR8s
three XR6 Turbos
two G6E Turbos,
but now I'm looked into the Territory diesel awd, as the tug, or a ranger.....
