The Jayco Dealer I purchase my van from told me that the jacks were for stabilising only and to never use them for lifting!

He did stress though, that if you were in a dire emergency situation that they had the ability to hold up the van, but it only in an emergency!

I've held my expanda up on the front drop legs to move the Jockey wheel in the clamp without an issue. I wouldn't make a habit of it, I didn't wind the van up on the legs though just supported the weight

I leave the van on the front legs all the time at home, I remove the trail-a-mate jack so that it doesn't go walk abouts. Also use the jack to level the van, then wind the legs down and remove the jack.
