help with fridge

Of course it is murphys law, when a long way from home, 150l dometic fridge stops working. Seems to work sometimes, doesnt seem to matter 12v, 240v or gas. I have taken cover off outside and the gas thingy is hot but meat is slowly defrosting. Van is level. Any advice where to start looking??? Barney

Is there any smell of ammonia (bleach type smell) if so you have lost the gas in the system.

It has started working again while on gas, will try im the morning on240 and see what it does. Just seems very intermittent sometimes works, next time I check its not, doesn't seemto matter if its on gas, 240 or 12v

Seems to of stayed working on gas all night, will now try on 240v and see if it stays working

Make sure you check the 240v plug is all the way in the power point .
They get knocked easy

Depends on the model ewtc. My 16.49.3 expanda has the power plug behind the bottom drop down flap under the sink drainer bench.

Yep, found it in the bottom cupboard and yes the switch had been bumped into off position and plug half hanging out, no way it was going to work. Stupid place to put power point. Mystery solved. Next mod either cover power point or move it.
